Ambient Rhythm is updated on Tuesday and Friday

In his endless quest for interesting stuff to procrastinate with - that is, read - online, Moonshadow ran across this blog, which is a fun read :)

In a week and a half, I will be taking part in the Mark Experience, a 90 minute play that covers the whole of Mark's gospel. It's semi-improvised, so I don't have to learn any lines - in fact, I don't even know what part I'll be playing (other than that it won't be Jesus!). I do have to learn the structure of that particular gospel, though. The play's based on a book, the Mark Experiment (it got renamed slightly for the play), so I've been working through that the past five weeks or so, and it's been fascinating. I mean, I know pretty much everything that was there; I must have read Mark's gospel multiple times the whole way through in my lifetime, but it's really good to get a handle on the order and flow of the narrative. On the other hand, we start rehearsing all of three days before the first performance, which is quite unnerving. I have a good memory, but memorising narrative flow and acting out a coherent story are two quite different things ^^;; I'm still looking forward to it, though. I think it will be a lot of fun :)
