A moderated mailing list where vulnerabilities found in software are announced to the public.  Not as good as it used to be, tending these days to be swamped with multiple vendors all separately announcing their own fixes to some more general problem.

More info [here].

Kazuhiko is subscribed but hardly ever reads the mails as they are almost entirely not relevant to me or completely over my head...  The one titled "Ethereal SOCKS buffer overflow" caught his eye however.  You will be happy to know that this problem has now been fixed (by darning them with EtherealThread? perhaps?).

Vitenka approves, but sadly:  [Ethereal] is a network analyser tool, SOCKS is a standard protocol for asking a firewall nicely to let you through.
