Since nothing else is on this page, and I am a music student, I thought I'd write opne of my pet hates: the literary misuse of the word 'crescendo', i.e. '...rose to a crescendo...' This is utterly meaningless, as crescendo is the musical term for 'getting louder'. It's like saying, '...speeded up to an acceleration...'. Sorry, personal bugbear. --FR
