The world has been conquered by Brittannia. We're all evil and stuff.

We invent mecha purely to conquer japan, which we immediately rename AreaEleven? (so that we can then conquer Area88, presumably.)

In doing so, we make small children cry. Awww. One of them vows vengence.

Roll credits. He's standing on a lamppost, mildly irritated with himself. He's going to pilot the mighty geese and... no wait, that's some other series.

Seven years later, the series starts.
Young student proves himself the ultimate chess player, or something.
Some terrorists steal a super weapon and the military go to get it back.
The prince who rules this land wears white, and almost certainly bathes in rose petals.
Chess player gets involved.
He meets up with his best friend from the pre-intro, who now works for the bad guys. Said friend gets shot.
Go on bad guys! Prove you are bad guys with your racist taunts of 'elevens!' That'll really work up the emotions.
Chess player awakens a GirlInABox?.
They escape, they get caught again, there's some minor fighting. Oh, somewhere in this some minor terrorist has a mech and fights a bit. Her mech is red whilst everyone else's is blue, so we'll be seeing here again.

MagicalGirl? gets ShotInTheHead?.

And then she falls down dead in a pool of blood. Hah! Didn't see that coming, did you?

So with her dying breath she (swirly blue tunnels! It's like the jump map in Andromeda?, and it's clearly representative of the interior of a brain here too) transfers her powers to the male lead on condition that he grants her one wish. (The titular geas) But in fine tradition doesn't tell him what it is.

So, now he's got superpowers. Yay!

He orders the enemy soldiers to kill themselves. "Yes my lord! {blam}"

He grins so very very evilly. He cackles madly. He's the MainCharacterBadGuy? for the series! Yay! DeathNote has started a trend! (He also has violet eyes with a winged letter 'v' in them, and has gained the 'lonely powers of the king reborn' but hey, a little Arthurian mis-myth never hurt anybody. Except the soldiers we're now supposed to root for. But they were racists, so what the heck.)
