RobHu just saw this and found the ending very sad. The American ending was less sad but I don't consider that authoritative... I know it is supposed to be about growing up and now they relate differently and she doesn't need to communicate in that way, but :-S Maybe it is because I don't want her to grow up. On a seperate note can anyone suggest a good similar anime to Kiki's ?
I was also thinking WhisperOfTheHeart?. On the "losing the ability to communicate with familiars" thing, didn't HisDarkMaterials feature that mechanic also? --AC
