Signs you've spent too much time on this wiki:

You know the RealNames of most of the RecentChangesAddicts but think of them by pseudonyms anyway

You start thinking of yourself by pseudonym

You check RecentChanges more often than your email
PeterTaylor certainly culpable, but since he typically receives order of 0.4 e-mails a day considers this excusable.

You reply to RecentChanges more often than to email.
(PeterTaylor) See above.

You set your start page to RecentChanges

You've been NokkyQuoted on the wiki.

You start speaking in WikiWords

You catch yourself using RunAndHide in everyday conversation.

You've written an entry on this page

(You created this page - StuartFraser, worried)

You start directing other people to the wiki, instead of an instant messenger or irc, if they want to contact you.

You give your Wiki homepage when asked for your "website address" or "homepage URL".

Even though you haven't watched anime for over a year, you still read up about it on the Wiki (See ManicLinkClickingDisorder)

You start using the word "refactor" in everyday conversation.
That could also mean you've been infected by ExtremeProgramming.  --Vitenka
(PeterTaylor) Doesn't even mean that. It's common terminology in general OOP.

You change your entry on TodayIAmMostly more often than you speak to your parents.

You look for the "This change is a minor edit." box when checking code back into source control.
That would actually be a stonkingly useful addition to ClearQuest?.  --Vitenka

When you see a non-logged-in person make changes to TodayIAmMostly, you try to figure out who they are from the IP address, rather than, for example, looking at the change they made to the page.  Actually, I'm not sure that indicates you've SpentTooMuchTimeOnToothyWiki so much as you're just generally strange and geeky...
For reference, I am dsl.zen.co.uk (along with someone else) and 194.129.219.xxx  --Vitenka
I muse that being generally strange and geeky is a character trait that most people who have
SpentTooMuchTimeOnToothyWiki share...
I think mine says I'm thyme something or other, which leads me to wonder why the college network uses herbs...
Your reaction to seeing Vitenka's comment above is "Of course you are! We know that!"
I point out that I post from the same IP as two other people on this Wiki --Edith

You're about to edit a text file, and you think, "Must click Edit text of this page - where's the link gone...?" --M-A, who is flicking too fast between C and the ToothyWiki today.
''Does anyone else find themselves wanting to use simple Wiki commands and tags in everyday conversation? I ask this cos after too much IRC I now struggle not to say "slash me" instead of "I" and I want to know if using this wiki is going to give me many other such impulses... - CorkScrew
I know that I've been using WikiWords? in IRC, and trying to use ''emphasis'' in text that's headed for a html ContentManagementSystem?.  --Vitenka
It's progressed beyond that at GamesEvening - most regulars can hear the difference between that and "Games Evening", for example, and recognise other instances of InLineCaps? when spoken. Concepts like RunAndHide also put in appearances. But I don't think we can blame ToothyWiki for the echoing cries of MuHaHaHaHa. --AlexChurchill
"Slash me" is emphatically not something you want to be saying too freely around some people in Cambridge...
You might either end up divided, or fictionalised.... -- Senji
Or a subpage, if the hearer has SpentTooMuchTimeOnToothyWiki! --AlexChurchill
Ooh! A RecursiveLink!
For my part, I think that the fact that I've learned more science in the time I've been on the wiki than in six years of lessons at school is a fairly good indicator that I spend too much time here.  I can't help feeling I'd do much better if I retook Chemistry AS now... --FR

It's gotten worse - I'm using a couple of forums now (phpbb based) and yes, keep trying to use WikiFormat?.  I'm doing it in email too.  SaveMe?!  --Vitenka

Spoiling the effect rather by commenting here, but Vitenka points out that the pseudonym one and the RunAndHide one were true for self well before the wiki.  But I'm happy to share them.  Oh, and I think I know most of your RealNames now, but heck if I can match them up with which of you is which.
