Its feathers are commonly thought to have magical properties, but due to the rarity of the bird, very few if any experiments are permitted. Most phoenixes are preserved on farms. There is [rumoured] to be a phoenix egg in one of the many museums of the /UniversityOfCambridge.
What phoenixes have to do with anything, beyond being the named creature in the title of the strip, is as yet unclear (MuHaHa).
What we do know is that in true Cambridge fashion, there are [protesters] campaigning for "phoenixes" (the one in the museums? any specific one? some in general? the idea of them??) to be freed, and that newspeople [are interviewing University professors] about them.
