Ambient Rhythm is updated on Tuesday and Friday
A couple of weeks ago, I was unusually lucky at work. I was sitting at my desk, using Outlook, when an email arrived saying an ice-cream maker was for sale for a really low price. I replied quickly but didn't expect to get it; such things vanish very fast on the for-sale list. However, this time, I did - and the poor thing's been in nearly constant use since then. It's so much fun - very easy to use and it's really good to be able to try recipes like redcurrant ice cream (nice fruity flavour, very tangy), or Bailey's ice cream (that one's in the freezer right now). It's like the bread maker, only more frivolous. It's a shame the summer hasn't been cooperative weather-wise, but if it's home-made, I don't even feel like I need the excuse of hot weather to eat it ;)
On a totally unrelated note, we're coming to the end of the series and I want to do another 'OAQ' - Occasionally Asked Questions strip. There was a two-pager at the end of the last volume (see here). I need questions - please do ask any you can think of, the sillier the better. Thanks :)
