A few things to advertise, in chronological order:
On the 18th February, there's a mini convention in Edinburgh, courtesy of the Edinburgh University Anime and Animation Society.
BLOOD, a Japanese Goth band, are playing in Birmingham (!) on the 5th April in the Barfly Club (they were the band playing at Ayacon last year).
Tomo-Dachi, a big Irish convention, runs from the 7th-9th July this year.
