"You told her about him, didn't you?" Jakin turns to put the plate in the dresser.
"Yes, she asked."
"There you go. She would've described him when she reported the coin. But he's not in the records, so they must've thought she was lying. Now they believe her." He closes the dresser and comes back for the next plate, which is still mostly unwashed.
"I hope he's all right," Mina says.
"Don't worry about him, worry about yourself."
"What?"
"They're watching us, you know."
