Inric takes a deep breath, but only says, "all are welcome to use the library. But I am unlikely to be around during the day." He turns, putting one hand on the doorframe to steady himself. "If he has questions, would you be willing to pass them on?"
"Of course," Colle says, realising afterwards that he hadn't said 'please' either. In fact, she couldn't remember him saying 'please' or 'thank you' much at all, but somehow he didn't come across as arrogant the way the young stranger had. Inric limps into his quarters, clearly exhausted, and she lets out an annoyed huff at the lack of answers before turning to head back to her own room. Perhaps the stranger wouldn't come tomorrow. Maybe he got everything he needed today?
