"So, that is well," Inric's captor gives a grim sort of smile. "My name is Prytanis, son of Sulus, of Ahl Serin. Tell me thy name. Thy real name."
"Invarioneth," Inric says, wondering if the emphasis on "real" means Prytanis knows the name he'd given Orien.
"And the rest? Thy kin?"
"Invarioneth Sey-Jiyaranis of the Seth-Varouin clan." It's hard to see, but Inric thinks the other man relaxes slightly.
"And what is thy purpose here?"
"I am looking for a book."
"Truly?"
"Yes."
"Hmm. Tell me of Sa Ayen."
"Sa Ayen?"
"The Ayen kin of Sa Estuary."
"I don't recognise the name."
Prytanis huffs in irritation, and turns. "I must go. I will return. Think again about Sa Ayen. Remember thy wyrbeast."
