Apparently the plan is for half the Ashton troop to leave with Wil as soon as the advance guard arrive. He's too dangerous a rebel to keep in Milburh for long." "Really?" Aldus can't believe his ears. "No, it's obviously a plan!" Cyrward snaps. "This Mirric is clever and ambitious. He wants to deal with Milburh's rebels and he won't want to share the glory." He meets Aldus' gaze. "This is a trap. I expect the rest of the troop will follow on in secret so when the rebels mount a rescue, they'll be ambushed in turn. And when the big shots arrive from Jossport, there will be the town at peace. And a nice parcel of captured rebels to show off."
