"Before that, do you wish to return to the caravan?" Inric asks Kelyn. She blinks in surprise.
"Before breakfast?"
"They will be moving on this morning. I cannot take you somewhere I do not know."
"Well, I need to get my tools. But Jory, what about your wagon? And Daisy?" Kelyn looks up at her companion, who looks pained.
"There's nothing in the wagon that matters, but it's a shame about Daisy. Actually," he brightens, "if you're going back, could you leave a message with Brioc? He'll look after her."
"Yes, I can do that, and I'll write one too." It's a good idea. "Anwyn and Dera can send it when they get to Lethey."
"Aren't you going to Lethey?" Jory sounds confused.
"No, I want to stay here." She turns back to Inric. "You know about magic, right? I need to learn - I have so many ideas - can we collaborate?"
Inric is almost smiling. "The library is open to all who ask."
