Hian takes a breath. "I've not been in Tamarai for some time. Has something changed?"
"Oh, not really. Just... the veil suggests you're known to the Cerethys already. Means they won't try recruiting you." She nods as if to say that makes sense. Hian stares at her.
"Recruiting - I'm 41! If my glimmers worked, I think I'd have noticed by now!"
"Better safe than sorry! Anyone from out of town is fair game to them." The stallholder smiles and waves a hand as though to negate the worrying things she's just said. "Although the worst that could happen is spending an afternoon at a ritual. So no need to worry."
"Thank you," Hian says, having acquired quite a bit to worry about. She pays for the band and veil, and carries on to the other side of Orun and her rendezvous with the wizard.
