Looking at it, this strip doesn't seem quite so funny. Oh well. I'm going to try doing some of the First Story tomorrow, over at a friend's room while people play games - hopefully, I might actually get somewhere. I had a minor set-back when I found I was scanning the images at a somewhat less-than-decent resolution, so had to scan them again ^^;;
We saw Metropolis on Sunday evening. I don't know what I was expecting (I have seen Akira and not been impressed, but I love Black Jack, both of which were written by Osamu Tezuka, upon whose work Metropolis was based). It was really rather stunning. The character designs were old-style (intentionally, I'm told) but cute, and the story was simple, but it was all put together so well. The feel was very Squaresoft (is it me, or does Duke Red look like a chocobo?), the backgrounds very detailed and the music was great. I really enjoyed it (thanks, Tsunami!)
Finally, Happy Birthday to the Hologram, otherwise known as the Jellybaby Man and the Other Masked Man, the real life person who inspired the character of Nikolai Ivanovich  ^.^
