"You forgot to bring a bucket," Arvid says as Mathea catches up to him. She ignores his joke. "Why did you come back for me? At the palace?" His face becomes serious. "It was my fault you got caught," he says. "And whatever else happened, Mathea, you are still my sister by law. My family." The words hit a lot harder than she expects, and she turns away to hide... whatever it is that her face is showing. "You should talk to Ylva," she says.
