Sitting on a windowsill, Inric rests his head against the wall and closes his eyes, trying to deal with the unexpected ache of grief. He left Magistra Colle to settle into her room, but all he can think of now is the contrast between the dormitories as they once existed, filled with Eldarin students and librarians talking, laughing, debating, and what they look like now, mostly abandoned with one autochthene scholar about to move in. It's not Colle's fault or responsibility, but it's harder to deal with than he had expected.
