"I've finished!" Ylva announces, holding up the book.
"What, you translated all of it?" Colle asks.
"Sort of. I wrote down all the words I didn't know to ask Magister Inric later."
"Didn't the pictures help?"
"Not really." Ylva looks at the book. "If the bear-thing talks to a tree, then eats its leaves, is that normal here? Or just like the stories about talking rabbits Mum used to tell me?"
"I wonder if Magister Inric learned from those books when he was little?" Colle muses.
"That doesn't help either," Ylva says, but she is laughing.
