"He was stabbed in the back, apparently," Wil offers, but Aldus shakes his head.
"I still think I should have noticed that." He frowns. "I won't be able to tell without another look. I suppose the laying-out will be over tomorrow?"
"Or the day after, I'm not sure. But we can't get in, anyway."
"Does it matter?" Cyrward asks sourly.
"Of course it matters! If he wasn't murdered, there's no need for the Siguri to come!"
"It's too late to stop them coming now," Cyrward says, and for all that Wil wants to disagree, he can't.
