"Let me know if anything changes or his head still hurts tonight," Peran says as he walks away. Kelyn stares after him. Then the other uplander speaks.
"Are you having trouble with your kauro?" he asks. "Can I help?"
"She was going fine and then she just stopped," Kelyn says, as the man leaps easily onto the wagon platform.
"She's having a snack," he explains with a smile. "Kauren like meadowgold. Here, let me." He takes the reins, then turns to offer a hand to the dark-haired stranger who is still standing on the other side of the wagon. "Are you coming?"
