"Kasivelieth's father," Merianethel says, and Inric frowns.
"I remember him." As though he could forget.
"He claims you have acted inappropriately with respect to a father's privileges," Merianethel recites, "and denounces you as being improperly unfamilial. Naturally, this was brought to the attention of the Wyrte." She grins wickedly. "Your grandmother wishes me to tell you that such a vulgar complaint is beneath her notice and yours, and that should further insult be laid against her family, Kitharissien will rue the day he was born."
Inric is surprised enough to laugh, and Merianethel laughs too. "Her words," she says.
